Like the wind division, our solar division covers project development in full. Site evaluations, feasibility studies as well as site planning and permit application planning for ground-mounted solar farms and their grid connection are initiated and carried out by us together with partners abroad. Here too, we as GERES safeguard quality through cooperation with leading manufacturers of the technology, and so achieve a high level of efficiency over the long term.
8.7 megawatts in Écija, Spain
The solar division of the GERES-Group successfully planned an 8.7 megawatt ground-mounted solar farm in Écija (Spain), which at the time was regarded as the largest solar project in Spain, including an overhead transmission line, and sold it to third parties before construction began.
Ready when the conditions are right
The GERES-Group has put further solar projects on hold because of unfavourable political conditions. Should those conditions change, we are ready at any time to put our expertise in developing and delivering solar farms back into active use.
